15 minutes of exercise a day prolongs your life

MatulaLaufen1A quarter of an hour a day for your health: According to a study from Taiwan, 15 minutes of exercise per day is enough to extend a person’s life expectancy by three years.

The study asked 416,000 Taiwanese how much exercise they had done in the last month. The test subjects were then split into five groups depending on their answers – from “very active” to “not active at all“. They then monitored the study participants over the course of eight years and drew conclusions as to their life expectancy. 15 minutes a day or 90 minutes a week increases life expectancy by 3 years.

The World Health Organization, however, recommends at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
